What is DelaMobil.com?

DelaMobil.com is a test website.

That means we’re trying out various things here. At this point, it’s hard to say exactly what those things are, since the scope of the tests changes regularly and some tests are probably just being conducted because someone wanted to see if they work.

This isn’t a sign of poor planning.

It’s modern, flexible development.

At least it sounds so much more professional.

No, there's nothing for sale here.

If you were looking for a product, service, or other offer designed to subtly take your money, we’re afraid we’ll have to disappoint you.

Currently, nothing is for sale on DelaMobil.com.

There’s also no premium section, no “exclusive offers,” and no artificially time-limited promotions that expire in twelve minutes and are designed to pressure you into a purchase you’ll later regret.

We just don't have anything to offer.

That's not exactly a clever sales strategy.

We really mean it.

What about the newsletter?

Signing up for the newsletter is pretty pointless right now, too.

We could send you regular emails, but we’d have no idea what to write about. And you probably wouldn’t either.

That alone would already fulfill the most important requirements for a successful newsletter:

No one knows why it exists in the first place.

Why was this page created in the first place?

The answer to that is more complicated than it needs to be.

Technically speaking, DelaMobil.com is used to test various things:

  • Websites
  • Features
  • Content
  • Layouts
  • And, at some point, probably even visitors' patience

You could tell an impressive story about digital transformation, innovative web technologies and strategic future development.

That would sound much more important.

We could also claim that there is a long-term concept behind this website that will change the market at some point.

However, for this to happen, we would first need:

  • A market
  • A concept
  • And ideally a reason why someone should wait for it

That's why we prefer to stick to the truth:

Testing is done.

What is tested?

All kinds of things.

And that's exactly where the problem lies.

Sometimes a technical function is tested. Sometimes the layout is changed. Sometimes an idea is tried and discarded five minutes later.

Sometimes something works and no one knows exactly why.

Other times something doesn't work and suddenly a lot of time is spent trying to figure out why.

What happens to pointless features?

If you discover a feature on this site that seems completely pointless, there's a good chance it's there for that very reason.

If it disappears at some point, it was probably not successful.

If, on the other hand, it suddenly served a purpose, it was probably successful.

And if no one knows why it was installed in the first place, it probably just remains.

After all, that's how most of the really important things on the Internet are created.

Please do not expect professionalism that we have not promised.

This website is in test operation.

This explicitly does not mean that everything here is finished, perfect or well thought out.

Quite the opposite.

Some areas could change, others could disappear and still others could remain unchanged for a longer period of time because no one knows who originally created them.

This is not chaos.

It's a development process.
